I’ve never been able to handle the maintenance required for a high-precision bold red lip. So in order to experiment with color in a easy peasy way, I play around with texture. Creamier lip products with built in moisture and shine are usually fuss-free ways to swipe on a gorgeous bright without thinking about it looking all too perfect. Below are my favorites!

In an effort to stay hydrated I’m chugging liters of water from my hot pink CamelBak all day long. As a result, I have to take a bathroom trip every 5 minutes. All those bathroom trips + hand washes + drying office soap = angry hands + dozens of tubes of hand lotion. I’ve never had a reaction this strong (in the best possible way) to a facial cleanser. I’m obsessed. I talked all day about it to my coworkers. I’m in love. A beauty stylist at my local Nordstrom gave me a sample of Arcona’s Toner Tea Bar to remedy some zits that have taken residence on my forehead lately. It transformed into a velvety lather when I rubbed it into my face (I used it with my Clarisonic). After I rinsed it off, my face felt buttery soft and hydrated, not stripped and thirsty for moisturizer like I feel after using most cleansers. Throughout my day, I could feel it’s lasting effects. My skin was supple, glowing and quenched from the solid foundation of this magical cleanser. I’m planning on getting the full bar ASAP. I can already tell this love is built to last.
